The Baylys Theme Options<\/h3>\n

You can customize the Baylys theme easily by choosing the options on the theme options page<\/strong> (see Appearance \/ Theme Options<\/em>). Here you can choose your own link and footer background colors, set the layout to a right or left sidebar or a single-column layout, choose a custom footer text, automatic excerpts, upload your own logo image or activate the Responsive Slider or share buttons.<\/p>\n

To show a header image<\/strong> instead of the slider your can upload your own header images (the width should be 1400px, the height is flexible) just go to the Appearance \/ Header option. If you want a slighter darker background color or a background pattern (e.g. from <\/a>) go to Background option and customize the settings there,<\/p>\n

The Layout Options<\/h3>\n

In the theme options settings you can choose to show your sidebar on the right, on the left or don’t show a sidebar<\/strong> at all. In case you don’t want to use the sidebar you can still add your widgets to the footer widget area. <\/p>\n

Next to the layout option on the theme options page you can also choose the page templates Fullwidth, Without Sidebar or Portfolio<\/strong> to create different kind of pages for your site.<\/p>\n

Sidebar and Footer Widget Areas<\/h3>\n

There are two different widget areas in the Baylys theme. You can add widgets to the sidebar and to the four-column footer widget area. Baylys features the custom widgets About, Featured Video, Flickr Preview and Social Links. Of course you can also use all standard WordPress widgets and widgets from the Jetpack by WordPress.com<\/a> plugin (like the Twitter or Image widget).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
