I remember walking around the cold, windy wintery Kyoto streets of Kyoto and enjoying it a ton even, if it was really very cold during our trip in December last year. We would stop for some hot green tea, before continuing to explore the city.
The city is for sure beautiful in all seasons, but we loved the quite, cold days we spend in Kyoto in December.
I loved the winter scenery, because it is less crowded with tourists and you can see a lot more of the local, normal city life of Kyoto. To stay warm we spend time in book shops and cafés and in the evening we loved to go to the small little onsen in our hotel.
